Position Description

The Product Manager will be instrumental in the success of CarrierHQ’s product portfolio. This role works collaboratively with the technology team and various business stakeholders towards reaching a common goal of delivering the highest quality products to users. The Product Manager will be a key leader in helping the technology team improve reliability and velocity as CarrierHQ continues to grow its’ team and product portfolio. This role will have the opportunity to make an outsized impact on the future direction of CarrierHQ’s platform, processes, and culture.


  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/partners for the flawless execution of development projects
  • Ensure that all products are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
  • Maintain action item tracking to ensure reply and action
  • Complete standard project management tasks, including financial, communication, risk, stakeholder, scope, and schedule management
  • Support team by coordinating, participating, and managing project documentation
  • Assist with identifying potential bottlenecks in processes and collaborate with management team to resolve issues
  • Support the development of technology user guides, training materials, and other descriptive materials


  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with demonstrated ability to take initiative and critically analyze processes and procedures in a push toward constant improvement
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and extremely thorough while possessing the confidence and communication skills necessary to ensure work processes are completed accurately and effectively
  • Able to prioritize, lead discussions, and coordinate objectives among a diversified group of stakeholders
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude and respond to requests in a timely manner
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to tailor messages and delivery based on the audience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities


  • 2-5 years of related experience and proven track record of performance within a rapidly-scaling organization
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred
  • Previous experience with freight, logistics, finance, or insurance industry preferred
  • PMP, Scrum Master certified, Scaled Agile Framework certified, or another relevant credential a plus
  • Strong knowledge of QA and software development methodologies and tools a plus
  • Comfortable with understanding and discussing technology concepts and how they impact stakeholder needs
